Wow, learning how to blog is much harder than I anticipated. Kathy has been neglecting her duty, so I thought I'd better pick up the slack. Excuse the picture, I just had to have a break after the experience. Do you realize how hard it is to keyboard with nails as long as mine. Mike is such a slacker when it comes to clipping them. And that mouse thing, what is that? The darn thing just rolls all over the place. But all in all I'm quite proud of myself for the effort, thus the rawhide bone. By the way don't tell Mike that I've been on the computer, he'll make me do all the correspondence. I've licked all the nose prints off the screen. I don't think he'll notice. If he does, I'll just blame the new puppy, "Chaco,"that we're "housing" until a better home comes along.Things at the crossroads are going fairly well, albeit busy. We're just adjusting to the moping of Beth and Mike since Derek, Katie, stole away to Port Angeles, Washington with Super Simon, the one who can do no wrong. But D, K, & S are doing well acclimating to their new home. Derek is the new archeaologist for the City of Port Angeles, while Katie is a stay-at-home mom, helping to settle the home front. Crash and Annie are busy entertaining Simon indoors while their new fence outback is being built.
Josh and Arden are also settling into their Cherryville home after their recent wedding. Arden is working as a special ed teacher at Washington Elementary school in Cleveland County. I don't know who special ed is, but he sure is lucky to have her for his teacher, because she is really sweet. Josh is working for the City of Cherryville Water Dept. as a heavy equipment operator. He likes it a lot, being outdoors and using his head and his hands. Abby, the wonder dog, is enjoying her new full time mommy with extra love and attention.
Zach and Hannah welcomed in the new year of academic studies at seminary in Chicago. They have made many friends and are enjoying the sem. community. Mr. Wilson has tolerated well the cold winter and the hot summers. He enjoys his walks and seeing the kids and sem. families out and about. Just don't remind him that winter is just around the corner again, he hates that.
Oops, I hear the kitchen door...better run for now... how do you publish this darn thing?????? Where is Bill Gates when you need him??? Oh there, I see it. Bye, Shelby
