Welcome, summer!

We heard Crash and Annie's mom, Katie, telling our mom that we needed to do a better job at telling you all know what is going on here, so here we are! Sorry that it has been so long - we have just been busy with lots of goings on!

Let's see....some of our big news is that our friend Mr. Wilson is here for the summer. His people, Zach and Hannah are on the move again, and he just decided to take a little vacati0n here with us at the crossroads. I'm not sure that I have all of this straight, but I think that Hannah and Zach are in Virginia working at a Lutheran church camp, and then in August, they are moving with Mr. Wilson to Knoxville, Tennessee for Zach's internship year and for Hannah to go to school to get her master's degree, whatever that means. We like having Mr. Wilson here. It's a good deal for all of us - there is plenty of grass to run in and lots of plants to...well, you know....on! He and Kathy are a bit grouchy with each other every once in a while, but for the most part, it is absolutely wonderful. We also have a new kitten to play with. Lily came to live with us the very same day that Mr. Wilson did! When we went out for our last evening's walk, she was waiting for us on the sidewalk. She was sooooooooooooo tiny - we are excited to have a little one around. She is a porch and outside cat, and loves the garden jungle! We like to eat her food, but Beth and Michael scold us for that, so we have to be sneaky....! Lily is growing quickly and loves to climb trees. Wish that I could do that!

Josh and Arden and Abby came to see us recently - it was a nice big reunion, because Zach and Hannah came to see Mr. Wilson for a few days,too. They are all gone now, but I sure do love all the noise and excitement when everyone is here. Josh and Zach and Arden and Hannah LOVE to throw and bat the ball for me to chase - it is wonderful!!!!!! I hope that they will be back soon! I hear that Katie and Simon will be here in July for two weeks.....maybe they will play with me!!!!! Derek plays with me and spoils me rotten whenever I see him, but I think he can't come across the country this time. Sure wish that he could. Beth says that he has to save his vacation days to stay at home when Simon's new brother or sister arrives in November....hmmmmm.

Beth is home all day everyday now - she sure does love this thing called summer. We work in her flowers and the garden a lot. She does disappear for a few hours now and then to go see Harley and his people, Jack and Sali, but then she is back here to play with us. Mr. Wilson and Kathy follow her everywhere, but she let ME get in her lap to talk to Simon and Katie and Derek on the computer. I made Simon laugh when he saw me on the screen, and that makes me happy! He is the cutest kid ever!

Michael seems to be very busy recently, but he does run with me every day. He also lets me work in the garden with him, but don't tell Kathy or Mr. Wilson.....! I understand the rules about where I am allowed to be - that is why I get to help. My short little friends just kind of go wherever they please, so they have to stay inside. I love helping in the garden! Mainly I am on guard duty - I watch while Michael and Beth work and I keep them company. Michael pulled two zucchinis yesterday, and was very excited! His blueberries are also turning blue - he brought some inside for Beth to eat this morning before he went to work. They didn't give me one, but I hope that they do one day.....

So, there is a bit of news from the crossroads! I will try to find some pictures around here soon, too - just as soon as Beth cleans up the office....!
